Towering over the ocean and perched on a cliff north of Baldur's Gate stood the keep of Lord Kareshar, a lonely, forgotten relic of ages past. Its doors sealed by magic, the keep has been kept safe from robbers and adventurers of all sorts until just recently. Gradual wear and tear of the ocean has cut the cliff closer, and more importantly, under the keep. Now, an entrance is visible at the base of the cliff: a dark and forbidding hole only accessible during the low tide.
Rumors and legends tell of the immense wealth to be had if one were to brave the horrors of the keep. Vague rumors, but attractive ones none-the-less.
