Saevel sat at the table quietly, trying to ignore the stares and glares the other tavern patrons were giving him. Although his sword and other weapons were in safekeeping at the city gate, no one seemed to trust him. He sighed; what could one expect, given his dark skin and pale hair. He had no idea where his holy symbol of Eilistraee had gone... perhaps he could find a priest and buy one.
His attention is suddenly distracted by the sound of two women talking quietly to themselves, but *not* looking in his direction. Like some twisted love triangle, he focuses his gaze upon them while everyone else stares at him.
"Are you sure I'll be able to find it in there?" Sherry asks.
Kerri answers the halfling with a shrug. "The *stories* say that it's there; I tell the stories. For all I know, it may have been there once before someone picked it up, or perhaps someone is on their way now to fetch it."
As Saevel listens, he realizes they're talking about some sort of treasure map... something lying within some caves near Baldur's Gate, in a long-abandoned temple to Beshaba. He ponders this and realizes it might be nice to go out with them, away from all these staring eyes... besides, the bard is rather cute, even if obviously tainted with half-human blood.
