As the full moon rises over Faerun, canines everywhere begin to bark at the night sky. Then, silence.
Everywhere are reports of the strange incidents: dogs, wolves, and their cousins barking at the moon, only to burst into pale white flames moments later. The flames burn without heat or causing visible damage to the dogs, but when they burn out the dogs collapse, unconscious, and do not wake, even with the aid of healing magicks.
Those dogs kept inside, away from the moonlight, are spared from this curious phenomena, and soon petitioners are questioning the priests of Selune, the moon goddess, for answers.
The priests have prayed to their goddess and received visions of a temple in the Ardeep Forest, to the east of Waterdeep... but thus far all attempts to pinpoint the temple's location have met with failure. The priests in Waterdeep have called for all the local adventurers to find this temple and somehow stop the strange 'foxfire'.
One such group of adventurers, a half-orc paladin, a one-armed dwarven cleric, a beautiful bard, and a rather odd thief, set out from Waterdeep...
((Participants: Herkk, Dunbar, Kasumi, Echo. Still need to update some chars to 3.5, but in the meantime you guys can feel free to RP. First person to post can say when the party leaves (morning/afternoon/night). Any questions, let me know! -Sy))
